Becoming an Accredited Mediator

The process for accreditation is standard across the profession and is governed by the Approval Standards which are administered by the RMABs.

There are two pathways for national accreditation – experienced mediators may qualify as ‘experience qualified’. Alternatively, those entering the profession need to meet the threshold training, education and assessment requirements for accreditation. Details of these pathways are set out in the Approval Standards.

To apply for accreditation, contact an RMAB. An RMAB can provide information and assistance about the accreditation process. For a list of RMABs click here

Upon being nationally accredited, mediators are required to pay a registration fee. For more information click here
